Is Worry Getting In the Way of Your Abundance?

A client asked me to create a tap-along video for her to take her from worrying about money to feeling confident that plenty is already on its way.

Watch the video to hear more.

If you’re into Law of Attraction (as my client is), you know that worrying about something can slow down the arrival of what you want. So it takes longer to bring in the money you’re hoping for.

Worse, your worry may actually make that thing you’re worried about happen.

That means worrying about not having enough money may lead to not having enough money.

So by all means stop worrying about it!

But even if you’re not buying this manifesting-what-you-want-or-don’t-want-by-how-you-feel malarkey (as critics might say), there are still a couple of really good reasons to let go of any worrying about finances you’re doing. Especially if you’re a business owner.

First, that worry will pull your focus and energy off of actions that will bring in the cash. That can definitely slow down your income. (A bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy there.)

Second, worrying makes you less…attractive…to potential clients and customers.

Think about it. When you see someone under a cloud of worry, does that inspire confidence in you? Do you want to work with them? Buy from them?

Didn’t think so.

So when you’re worrying, you’re not showing up at your best, and probably costing yourself some money that way.

What’s the answer?

Easy.

Stop worrying about money.

Maybe that doesn’t sound so easy when the bills are piling up. But you can do it with some Tapping.

Here’s a pattern I often use to lower clients’ money worries: start tapping while saying all the things you’re worried about.

Not selling enough programs. Not being able to pay your team. Having to go live under a bridge. That sort of thing.

Then (still tapping) remind yourself of all the times you’ve gotten out of difficult situations. All the times money has shown up when you needed it. How you survived even when it didn’t. (You must have, right? You’re still standing!)

At this point clients often get a feeling that God/Goddess/the Universe/their Higher Selves are looking out for them. Even when money is tight.

Tap on that, too.

Tapping in this pattern gets Worry to loosen up so you can put your focus and energy on things you can do that are muuuuuuch more productive than biting your nails.

If you’d like some help lowering your own worries—whether about money or about something else—so you can grow your business, just email me. We’ll set up a time to talk about what’s going on with you and if tapping can help.

Happy Tapping!

Two Steps If You’re Overwhelmed by the News Now

A friend of mine was telling me about how overwhelmed she is by what’s going on in the Ukraine now. She’s got big reasons to be upset—her company has most of its operations based in that country, and she’s working hard to get all of her people to safety.

It got me thinking about what you can do to lower your stress over what is happening there, whether or not you are directly affected by the war that is happening right now.

So I shot this video of two simple steps to take right away.

See what you can do right now to feel better

Turn off the news as much as you can—entirely if you’re really feeling triggered. My friend can’t do that, but if you’re not directly affected, you can.

If you feel guilty doing this while others are suffering, look for reputable organizations to donate to. One of my favorites is Doctors Without Borders: https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/what-we-do/countries/ukraine

Donating to a cause like that will have a much more positive impact than just ratcheting up your stress by spending a lot of time reading the news.

Do the Zip Up regularly to shield yourself from all the emotional gunk swirling around. I teach the Zip Up to people who are strongly impacted by others’ energy and encourage them to use it at least daily. However, in times like these I notice a lot more people (including me) are feeling the negative energy around them too. To see how it’s done, watch the video.

Sending you love and light, and prayers for peace to all those affected by this war.

What To Do When Your New Year’s Resolutions Fail

Yep. It’s that time again.

Time to make your New Year’s resolutions. Maybe you plan to . . .

  • Finish that training you bought
  • Create your on-line course
  • Network more
  • Whatever it takes to grow your business to the next level.

You’re going to do it this time Right?!

And you start out strong. But then, in six months—Or six weeks. Or six days. Or six hours!—you find you’ve given up.

(Been there. Done that. Gave up on resolutions completely for awhile.)

But why? Why do we give up when it’s so important to us?

Well, what I’ve seen over and over again is that when your resolution goes against something in your subconscious—even if your subconscious is being irrational, illogical, or just plain stupid—your subconscious always wins.

No amount of willpower can push past your subconscious for long.

It just wears you down until you give up.

Three types of subconscious blocks I’ve seen a lot of are:

  • A belief that you need to do (or avoid) something to stay safe.
  • Others’ limiting expectations of you.
  • Seeing yourself in a limiting way. (Check out the video for examples of what each of these looks like.)

So what do you do if you can’t seem to follow through on your resolution?

Well, the fastest way to change I know of is to uncover your subconscious block and tap to release it.

If you don’t know how to do that (or you don’t have a tapping practitioner to work with), what I’d suggest is to create a daily tapping practice with your resolution. Here’s how:

  • Set aside at least 5 minutes every morning.
  • During that 5 minutes, visualize yourself taking the action you’ve resolved to take AND getting the results you want.
  • (And, most importantly) Tap while you visualize.

Tapping whittles away at the underlying fear, limiting belief, or whatever.

So it gets easier to follow through on your resolution and, eventually, create the “new you.” And new and improved business.

No willpower required.

Happy New Year and Happy Tapping!

It Can Be Easy To Make More Money. Seriously.

I know, I know. With a heading like that I probably sound like a used car salesman. But hear me out.

There’s a way you’re making it hard for yourself to make more money.

And you can change that. Here’s how I know . . .

Let me tell you about Jenny.

When Jenny came to me, she was worn out.

Her business wasn’t making enough money.

She knew she could be making more. She knew she should be making more. She even knew what she had to do to make more money.

But she wasn’t doing it.

What was up with that?!

In the past, Jenny had tried everything she could to grow her business.
• She’d followed numerous marketing experts.
• She joined as many networking groups as possible.
• She pushed herself to have a presence in every social media outlet she could.

She drove herself to do more. And more. And more.

It wasn’t enough. She just wasn’t making the money. And she didn’t know what else to do.

Jenny was exhausted and empty.

She had even found herself slowing down recently, not doing the things she knew would work.

It was baffling. She truly wanted to make more money. Why wasn’t she just doing the “sure things” to make more?

We started working together and quickly uncovered a subconscious block Jenny had to making more money. The block sounded something like:
• “Making money is too hard.
• It’s painful.
• I have to give it everything I’ve got to make money.
• So If I make more money, I’ll get sick
• If I make too much money, it will kill me!”

This block had been running in her subconscious for a long time, so of course she hadn’t been letting herself make money easily.

It had to be hard.

In fact, as far as her subconscious was concerned, it wasn’t safe to make any more money at all.

So we tapped and released that subconscious block. As we released it, it got easier and easier for Jenny to figure out what would actually make more money in her business.

She started just doing what would work and stopped doing all the other things.

And Jenny made more money. Easily.

The end . . .

Okay, I have a confession. There is no “Jenny.”

At least no single Jenny.

This is actually my story. And it’s the story of sooo many of the clients who work with me.

Believing that it’s too hard to make money is a really common block.

But it’s a block you don’t have to keep around!

Seriously.

If there’s even a tiny part of you that’s curious if this might be true for you, it’s worth a conversation.

Email me at Nancy@UnblockResults.com.

We’ll set up a call to talk about what’s going on with you and see if there’s a fit with what we do in my Money Blocks Solution: https://unblockresults.com/money-blocks-solution/.

We’re starting on October 9th.

I have a spot for you.

Go On Vacation! (Yes, even now)

I know this sounds like I’m telling you to do the opposite of everything I help business owners do—get rid of what’s holding them back so they can take the right actions to break through to the next level. Make more money. Reach more people. Fulfill their purpose and change the world.

But going on vacation is essential to all of those things.

Seriously.

Let me explain.

When you find yourself wasting more and more time—reading Google headlines every 15 minutes, scrolling through Facebook, staring off into space, unable to concentrate on the task that needs to get done—you need a vacation.

When you’re stuck doing the same things in the same way, unable to come up with anything new—you need a vacation.

When you realize you haven’t truly connected with what lights you up in life for far too long (your loved ones, Nature, spirituality, a good book)—you NEED a vacation!

As business owners, we often get the message that we need to keep focused, follow through on our priorities, do what it takes to grow our business. And I get how important that is. How you often need to push yourself to achieve the type of business you can see in your mind. How scary it can be to realize you’re letting opportunities slip through your fingers because you’re not taking action.

But you can go too far by pushing yourself to do more and more without a break. That will actually make it harder to get to the next level.

Watch the video to see why.

A real vacation (which means getting completely away from your business, ideally for two weeks) gives you a number of benefits that help you AND your business. Some of the biggies in my book are:

  • You get real rest, so you come back with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the work of finding and helping your people.
  • You get the break that your mind and body have been craving, so you don’t find yourself doing so much of the same time-wasters after your vacation that were creeping into your day before it.
  • Your creativity comes roaring back, meaning you not only come up with new ideas for what to do for your peeps, you realize new and better ways to run your business so it can grow faster.
  • You connect with what matters to you, so you remember why you are doing all this in the first place. And then you get your motivation back.

I took last week off after at least eight months of working straight through without a vacation. This week I’m finding all the positives I just listed happening for me and my business.

It’s an important reminder for me.

In fact, not taking yourself on a vacation can be a sign of one of those subconscious blocks to creating the life and business you want that I get rid of with my clients. (Hey, we teach what we most need to learn, right?)

So go on vacation. Even now in the midst of the pandemic and the economic uncertainty. There are ways to do it safely and cost-effectively.

You need it.

Your business needs it.

And, hey, if you’d like some help with that, just email me and we’ll set up a time to talk about what’s going on with you to see if there’s a fit with what I do.

What the News Is Doing To Your Old Money Stories

Have you noticed how all the bad economic news has activated you these days? My clients and I definitely have!

All the big lay-offs, so many small businesses going under, a tidal wave of unemployment—it’s bringing up a lot of fear and feelings of lack. And it’s activating old money stories.

When that happens, our negative feelings start running the show, affecting how we show up, what we do (or don’t do), and basically messing with our finances.

I go into more detail here.

Maybe you have one or more old money stories that is getting triggered now, something like:

  • I don’t deserve more.
  • Making money is too hard.
  • I’m no good with money.
  • There’s never enough.

If so, you’re probably not enjoying what you’re seeing in your financial picture.

When you’re seeing that kind of hit on your finances, one of the best things to do is to really clear out those limiting stories you have around money so you can get back in charge.

The best way to do that is with EFT—or “Tapping.”

To get some help with that, check out my Money Blocks BlockBuster Group, which is starting up again Friday, May 15, 2020. In each session we have group tapping on common money blocks as well as individual hotseats where we focus on your specific money stories so you can release and replace them.

For more information go to https://unblockresults.com/the-money-blocks-blockbuster-program/

Or just reach out to me at Nancy@UnblockResults.com. We’ll set up a call at no charge to figure out what your money story is and see if the group is right for you.

Don’t wait too long, though. There are only eight places total, and it’s already filling up. We start on Friday, May 15th—just a little over a week away. And I won’t offer another one until the Fall.

Why You’re Procrastinating Now

If you’re procrastinating—or procrastinating more—these days, there are reasons.

I talked about those reasons in this week’s Facebook Live:

(Please be kind about my hair. This is what it does when it doesn’t get cut in waaaaaaaay too long.)

First, stress is taking a toll on everyone right now. And the energy you use to deal with your stress gets taken away from the actions you would like to be doing now, whether that’s creating an online program, cleaning out a closet, or learning a new language. Understanding this dynamic can help you take some of the pressure off yourself.

Beyond that, more than the usual amount of stress in your life “raises the bar” so that the usual ways you use to get around your procrastination simply are no longer enough.

So, if you haven’t completely gotten rid of the subconscious blocks that lead you to procrastinate (which is what I do with clients), they will definitely be more powerful now.

For these reasons, I encourage you to give yourself grace during extra stressful times like these when you aren’t getting as much done.

Also, try tapping along with the 1st of the 3 free videos you get for signing up for my newsletter. (If you haven’t done so already, get the 3-video series How to Stop Procrastinating Without Having to Push Yourself So Hard here.)

Join My Tapping Circle for Pandemic Stress

Come to my online Tapping Circle to release stress and overwhelm caused by the coronavirus pandemic for four Fridays starting March 27th, 2020. It’s free to anyone over 18.

You might be reacting to stress from the news and changes in your community, work and home from the pandemic in different ways, like

  • Feeling overwhelming emotions,
  • Being unable to think clearly or take action, or
  • Having your body react with tension and even debilitating pain.

If you are reacting in any way that is not working for you, know that you don’t have to be stuck feeling and thinking like this. Tapping is a great way to release stress and get moving again. In this Facebook Live I recorded, I explain all about the Tapping Circle and how it works:

You can get more details for the Tapping Circle, including how to attend it online, at https://unblockresults.com/tappingcircle/

That page includes two additional videos. The first one teaches you the mechanics of tapping so you’re ready to tap along in the Tapping Circle, together with a tap-along for basic stress that you can use anytime you feel stressed. The second video shows you an easy move you can do now to avoid getting overwhelmed by the energy of everyone around you, which has been pretty intense in the past few weeks.

Come for just one, or two, or as many circles as you can.

4 Things To Do Now To Lower Your Pandemic Stress

The news is alarming, I know. Wherever you are, know that I am sending thoughts and prayers for the health and safety of you and your loved ones. I also want to send you something more concrete to help you in these times.

I don’t know about you, but I spent last week freaking out as all the changes I’d been hearing about around the world went from distant to my backyard. First the Seattle public schools closed, sending my almost-thirteen-year-old home for two weeks. The next day we heard schools would be closed for at least six weeks. Then the libraries closed. Then all the cafes and restaurants. Each change shrunk my world a bit more.

Now, I understand the need to close these spaces and am more than happy to do my part to slow the spread of the disease, keep my neighbors safe, and limit the impact on our medical communities. But last week I found myself scattered, spending a lot of time on Google News, unable to focus on most things.

The one thing I was able to focus on was my clients, who were also struggling with the changes brought on by this pandemic. Many are business owners who were worried, unable to think of how to keep their businesses afloat. So we tapped on what they were experiencing, lowering their stress so they could access their creativity and find ways to get their businesses back on track.

By Friday, I realized I also needed to lower my own stress levels so I could stop procrastinating and take action in my business. Which I did by Tapping, which is a great stress reliever—when I remember to use it on myself! I also realized that it was important to share tapping with you in whatever ways I can.

So if you are finding your stress levels going up, whether you are a business owner or not, here are some things you can do now to help you lower your stress.

  1. Watch this recording of a Facebook Live I did last week right before everything in Seattle started shutting down. In it I demonstrate two straightforward ways to tap to lower any stress you are feeling from the current situation (as well as some non-tapping actions you can take).
  1. Watch this second recording from a Facebook Live I recorded this week after I had worked with some clients and tapped down my own stress. You’ll not only see how to do an even simpler third way of tapping for stress, you’ll hear exactly why it’s important to be tapping every day, given what’s going on, to prevent future problems.
  1. If you want more, Gene Monterastelli has collected a list of tap-along articles and recordings that Tapping Practitioners around the world are giving away. Here’s that link: https://tappingqanda.com/2020/03/free-tapping-resources-from-around-the-web-responding-to-covid-19/ (thanks, Gene).
  1. Finally, attend my Virtual Tapping Circle (which will be delivered via Zoom). I’m opening it up for all comers—no-charge! We’ll tap together on what people are experiencing (emotionally, mentally, economically) in the midst of this pandemic to lower our stress starting Friday, March 27th, from 8:30 am to 10 am Pacific time (which is 11:30 am-1 pm East Coast time) and meeting Fridays through April 17th. I’ll have more details next week, but I wanted you to clear your calendars now for as many of the Circles as you can attend. Tapping together can be more powerful than tapping alone.

So—right now—try out the resources listed above, and mark your calendar for Virtual Circles at 8:30 am-10 am PDT (11:30 am-1 pm EDT) on the four Fridays starting March 27th.

Please share this post with anyone you think could benefit from these resources. We all need a little extra help now.

Stay safe.

What If Your Life Were Easy?

Over the past year I’ve noticed an interesting cause of procrastination in both my clients and myself.

Sometimes we procrastinate because it has become soooo hard to do something to reach a goal that we subconsciously decide it’s not worth trying.

And because we feel that it’s too hard to achieve our goal, we find ourselves putting off actions that could achieve that goal. Then we wonder why we’re procrastinating.

I’ve discovered a way to help both my clients and myself make things easier so we can reverse our procrastination. It’s a little woowoo, but it works!

Watch the video to find out the simple trick we’ve been using to make our goals—and even our lives—easier.

If you’re ready to stop struggling so hard to create the life you are meant to live, email me. We’ll set up a call to talk about what’s going on with you and see if I can help.
